How can the arts sector adapt to our changing climate?
The impacts of climate change can already be felt in Ireland, so how can cultural organisations prepare for our future?
PAF’s Green Arts Initiative in Ireland, working with Culture for Climate Scotland, invites you to join us for a series of sessions over the coming months focusing on the challenge of climate adaptation.
Kicking off on the 2nd of October 2025, we will begin with a general session on climate adaptation, followed by another on the 6th of November which focuses on adaptation for building-based organisations. There will be a final session in the New Year will be aimed at how production companies, festivals, independent artists, designers and others can best adapt to our changing climate
Here are some of the topics we will cover:
- What is climate change adaptation?
- Why should the cultural sector adapt now?
- Kickstarting your adaptation
- Examples of adaptation in culture
- Further guidance and advice
Climate adaptation is a topic which is increasingly important for all of us. These sessions will allow you to share examples of actions you and your organisation are taking to adapt to climate change, as well as providing you with guidance and case studies from across the sector both here and in Scotland.
It is preferable that you are available for all sessions below:
