Performing Arts Forum (PAF) is inviting expressions of interest from 8 independent artists and arts workers to join a new Independent Artists Working Group.
PAF’s Working Groups are a vital way for us to listen, learn, and collaborate with our membership. This new group will:
- Provide a dedicated space for independent artists and arts workers to identify, explore and progress shared strategic objectives
- Deepen PAF’s understanding of and support for the issues and opportunities facing independent artists and arts workers
- Connect with our existing Working Groups (Arts Centres, Festivals and Producers)
We are seeking individuals who identify as independent. We welcome interest from people at all career stages and from across the island of Ireland.
Commitment & Fees
- The Working Group will meet six times between November 2025 and September 2026.
- Each meeting will last up to 2 hours, with a fee of €75 per hour (€150 per meeting)
- Meeting 4 will take place in person at The Gathering in Belfast (May 2026). PAF will cover travel and accommodation, and offer a €150 honorarium for this meeting

- 26 August 2025 – Open Call opens
- 6 October 2025 – Open Call closes
- 14 October 2025 – Applicants notified

- February 2026 – Meeting 2 (online)
- April 2026 – Meeting 3 (online)
- May 2026 – Meeting 4 (in person at The Gathering, Belfast)
- July 2026 – Meeting 5 (online)
- September 2026 – Meeting 6 (online)
