As an Accounts Technician at Hawk’s Well, you will not simply process transactions — you will play a key role in ensuring that artists are paid, projects are delivered, public funding is managed responsibly, and the organisation remains sustainable and forward-looking. Your work directly supports creativity, community engagement, and cultural life in the region.
The Accounts Technician will support the financial management of Hawk’s Well Theatre by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, assisting with budgeting and reporting, and ensuring compliance with governance, audit, and funder requirements.
We are a small, ambitious organisation with two active sites and a dynamic programme. That means you will gain exposure to:
• Public funding compliance and governance
• Production and programme budgeting
• Multi-stream income (box office, grants, partnerships)
• Financial reporting to Board and funders
• The practical realities of running a busy arts organisation
You will work closely with senior leadership and play a visible role in the organisation’s future development, including new systems, strategic growth, and operational improvements.
We are looking for someone who values:
• Purpose-driven work
• Accountability and precision
• Continuous improvement
• Being part of a team that makes things happen
In return, you will join a supportive and collaborative environment where your expertise is respected and where your contribution genuinely matters.
