Salary: €45 – 47,500 gross per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, rostered over 6 days, including some weekends

Essential Requirements
Level 8 degree in Drama & Theatre Studies, English, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in an operational/managerial role in a visitor attraction or similar environment.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Experience in training and supporting staff development.
Experience working creatively in theatre, visitor, heritage or performance settings.
Strong administrative and IT skills.
Desirable Requirements
Experience with online booking systems.
Experience in retail administration and financial controls.
Event management experience, particularly in arts or literary sectors.
Experience engaging with community groups and building diverse audiences.
Experience within the charity or heritage sector.
Experience preparing funding applications.

Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre is an award-winning visitor attraction located in the heart of Dalkey. Open six days per week year-round (closed Tuesdays), the Centre offers engaging heritage experiences delivered by in-house trained tour guides and professional actors. Role Overview
The Assistant Manager supports the Manager in the operational, educational and creative delivery of the Centre’s activities.
This is a key leadership role contributing to:
High-quality visitor experiences
Effective staff coordination and development
Educational and creative programming
Upskilling and training of volunteers and staff, with particular reference to those on Community Employment
Financial and administrative oversight
Regulatory and governance compliance
Reporting to the Manager and may deputise in their absence.
This is a fulltime, permanent contract commencing 1 May 2026.
A probationary period of 6 months will apply.
