Part-time Admin Assistant for Professional Screenwriter
BILINGUAL WRITING ASSISTANT
I am a busy screenwriter, series developer and playwright in need of a remote assistant for writing and admin work. I would love to find the right person for this job who could grow within it, and who I could take on to further projects. Currently, I’m looking for someone for an initial 3 month period, working 10 hours a week at a rate of €25 / hr. I would hope to continue this arrangement after the 3 months, but need to see how the initial period goes first.
B’fhearr liom cúntóir le Gaeilge lÃofa, saibhir agus cruinn – táim ag obair ar cúpla tionscadal dhátheangach faoi láthair, ach nÃl mo Gaeilge chomh láidir ‘s a raibh. Más féidir leat an méid seo a léamh gan stró (agus na botúin a cheartú, b’fhéidir!), cuir isteach iarratas ldt!
This could be a brilliant opportunity for an aspiring writer who is organised, needs flexible work, and is digitally competent (particularly the last one). The role will give you an unparalleled look into the realities of working as a full-time writer, and an insight into producing too.
I will be inviting a small amount of people to interview in the new year, and will hopefully have someone starting quickly enough. Apologies if I can’t give detailed feedback on all applications – I’m a one woman band right now.
DEADLINE: Midnight, Sunday 21st December
APPLICATION PROCESS: Please send me a CV of your admin and creative experience, and a short email introducing yourself, including the following information –
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Your available start date
–             Cá bhfuair tú do chuid Ghaeilge
–             If you have experience using Final Draft, Arts Council Online Services, Social Media sites, IMDB, Square Space or Substack. (You definitely don’t need to have experience in all of them to apply).
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Are you a writer yourself, and do you have any experience in TV or film?
The email can indeed be short – I don’t mind you factually answering the above questions without too many bells and whistles and shooting over a CV, to keep the task manageable for you and for me. Should we progress to interview stage, references may be required.
