R&D for 2026 production

Selma Daniel Dance is casting 3 contemporary dancers for 2 weeks of R&D this autumn (1st week 22-26 September, 2nd week in November dates tbc) on a new dance theatre piece for young people exploring themes of migration. The piece will be fully produced in autumn 2026. Fee is €800/week. Rehearsals will take place in Dublin, no relocation costs can be covered.

Dancers should have strong contemporary dance technique, including floor work and partnering skills, as well as experience in improvisation and task-based/score-driven movement. Min 2 years of professional dance experience, ideally including work for young audiences. We are particularly keen to cast dancers who have lived experience of migration.

Dancers from all genders and backgrounds are encouraged to send their CV and a short cover letter including a video link (YouTube or Vimeo) to producer Heather Rose at heather@roseproducing.com by 12pm on Fri 22 August.

Auditions are by invitation only and will take place on Thurs 4 September.
