Audition call out for female performer

Rose Producing is casting a theatre performer with experience in work for young audiences for R&D development on ‘Being Brigid’, a new play about names, language and identity being created specifically for small rural primary schools. The piece will be fully produced in Jan-Feb 2027. Fee is €850/week or €200/day. Rehearsals will take place in county Sligo, no relocation can be covered.

Performers should be experienced in work for young audiences, ideally with experience in facilitation or workshops, as the piece will involve interactive elements as well as performance. Fluency in the Irish language or another language is desirable. Min 2 years of professional performance experience. Must be based in or near county Sligo or Roscommon and have access to own transport.

Performers from all backgrounds are encouraged to send their CV and a short cover letter including a video link if available (YouTube or Vimeo) to heather@roseproducing.com by 12pm on Fri 21 November.

Auditions are by invitation only and will take place on Wed 26 November 10am-1pm in Sligo town.

R&D dates will be 2 days in December (week of 8 December), with further dates tbc in 2026.
