Bealtaine Festival
Performing Arts Curator (Programmer): 2026–2029
Age & Opportunity invites tenders from individuals or organisations with a strong background in performing arts programming to curate and deliver the performing arts strand of the Bealtaine Flagship Festival from June 2026 to June 2029.
Working closely with the Artistic Director, the Performing Arts Curator will be responsible for selecting, developing, managing, delivering and promoting the flagship performing arts programme. The role is subject to Age & Opportunity’s Arts Council funding and is renewed on a year‑by‑year basis.
The next Bealtaine Flagship Festival will take place in 2027 and will be located in Munster, with the specific location and flagship venues to be announced at the end of May 2026. This regional focus reflects Bealtaine’s commitment to national reach, regional partnership and the decentralisation of flagship cultural activity. The appointed curator will be expected to engage with local partners, venues, artists and communities in developing the programme.
Visual Arts Curator: 2026–2029
Age & Opportunity is also inviting tenders for a Visual Arts Curator to contribute to the development and delivery of the visual arts programme for Bealtaine 2026–2029. This role will support the festival’s aims and will be delivered in collaboration with the Artistic Director and wider Bealtaine team.
