Theatre Royal Waterford is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Marketing & Communications Manager to join our team in a busy, dynamic arts led theatre venue located in Waterford City.
Job Title: Marketing & Communications Manager
Reporting to: Theatre Director
Responsible for: Managing the Marketing, Communications and Sales operations of the Theatre Royal
Location: Theatre Royal, The Mall, Waterford
Remuneration: Part-time position, 32 hours per week
Salary: €39,100
This is a key role responsible for leading the promotion of the venue’s diverse year-round programme and drive audience growth.
Working within a small, ambitious team, the role is responsible for delivering impactful marketing campaigns, increasing ticket sales, and managing the organisation’s public profile.
The role also supports the promotion of artistic initiatives, partnerships and income-generating activity, including residencies, collaborations, Friends scheme and commercial hires.
Key responsibilities
Plan and deliver marketing campaigns to drive ticket sales and attendance
Lead on digital marketing activity (including social media, website, email)
Manage paid campaigns and PR activity
Monitor sales and campaign performance and respond accordingly
Work closely with artists, promoters and partners
Support artistic projects, partnerships and fundraising initiatives
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:
Essential requirements
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a marketing, communications or PR role
A relevant qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field
Proven ability to deliver campaigns that drive sales, engagement or audience growth
Strong digital marketing skills, including social media, website updates, email marketing and content creation
Experience managing multiple campaigns and priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Desirable
Experience working in the arts, cultural or live events sector
Experience with ticketing or CRM systems (e.g., Ticketsolve)
Experience managing paid digital campaigns
Terms & Conditions of Employment
32 hours per week, with normal working week being Monday to Friday, some evening work will apply
Based primarily at Theatre Royal, Waterford City with potential for hybrid working as agreed
