The Programme Planning Executive will play a key role in providing support to the Head of Programme Planning in delivering the NCH programme and works closely with the Promoters Manager on concert bookings and room hire. The Programme Planning Executive will contribute to the delivery of the overall programme in line with our values.

Key responsibilities

The role of Programme Planning Executive is a key position in the Programme Planning Team within the NCH and will be responsible for, but not limited to:

1.    Venue rental and scheduling of events-liaising with Promoters, Artists and prospective hirers before, during, and after hires as required.

2.    Preparing and processing contracts of hire.

3.    Create and respond to opportunities to generate income through use of our venues by concert promoters, arts-aligned organisations, independent artists and corporate clients.

4.    Respond to rental queries and ensure the contracting of hires is concluded thoroughly and in line with on sale timelines.

5.    Maintain relationships and communication with a range of internal NCH teams to ensure the smooth delivery of events, including Operations, Learning and Participation, Marketing, Box Office, Finance and others.

6.    Marketing and Box Office liaison, including setting up events, manage tickets and monitoring sales.

7.    Support the producing of NCH programme including the contracting of creative teams including artists and speakers and liaising with relevant suppliers.

8.    Supporting the advancing and producing of NCH promoted events- confirming all details of a concert in advance of the show date, liasing with Artists’ Management, Tour Managers and Agents.

9.    Updating the events management software Artifax with relevant concert and event information, generating reports.

10. Build and maintains excellent relationships across a wide cross-section of partners, including artists, agents, promoters, composers, resident artists and arts organisations.

11. To undertake any other duties which may be reasonably required in the above position.
