PROGRAMMING & PRODUCING EXECUTIVE (Maternity Cover)
A landmark building for the 21st century, Bord Gáis Energy Theatre is synonymous with spectacular performance art, outstanding architecture, and a commitment to excellence in live entertainment. We are currently seeking a dynamic producing and programming executive to fill a maternity leave role.
This role reports to the General Manager and assists the Senior Producing and Programming Executive in realising the artistic programming of the venue, as well as company managing in-house productions.
The role has a flexible start date in October 2025 and a generous handover period of >3 months. This Maternity Leave Cover is an 18-months fixed term contract.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Producing & Company Management Â
·        Assisting the team with Company Management of in-house shows including answering general company queries and needs throughout rehearsals and run as well as organising on-the-ground logistics of day-to-day activities within the company
·        Drafting weekly payroll and invoice runs for in-house productions
·        Managing petty cash spend and Pleo accounts for in house in-house productions
·        Assisting with negotiations and contracts for company members of in-house productions
·        Project managing the creation of show programmes for in-house productions including information collection and all rounds of edits
·        Assisting with the planning and coordination of opening and closing night events
·        Booking company transport
·        Ad-hoc production team support as needed
Programming
·        Assisting the team in preparing on sale and show information for internal teams
·        Researching potential shows
·        Preparing Booking Forms for shows
·        Assisting with contract writing and negotiation
·        Go-sees for potential desirable shows
·        Distributing monthly venue diaries
·        Detailed weekly sales tracking
·        Manage setup of company ticket rates
·        Act as an official representative for the company on national and international stages in a way that reflects the company’s high standards.

Skills and qualities
·        Passionate about live entertainment, highly motivated, resourceful, innovative and forward thinking.
·        Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a skilled ability to manage diverse teams on a project basis.
·        Strong financial acumen, skilled in understanding and creating and managing budgets.
·        Excellent time management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
·        Strong attention to detail and excellent record keeping.
·        A resilient, determined, positive, collaborative attitude towards your role and your colleagues.
·        Strong administration and IT skills, with the ability to work in an organised and efficient manner.
·        Aptitude to build and maintain productive relationships with colleagues, producers and key stakeholders.
·        Ability and willingness to work irregular and flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
Experience
·        Three years’ experience working in a professional theatre setting.
·        Production or events management experience.
·        Transferrable creative and resourceful problem-solving skills while in fast-paced environments.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
·        Experience in negotiating contracts.
·        An awareness of developments in UK & Irish producing practices and an ability to integrate them into planning and programming.
·        Previous experience with Ticketmaster ticketing systems.
