Hours: 43 hours over 6 days

Holidays: 24 days per annum plus Bank Holidays (currently 11 days)

Are you passionate about theatre and Stage Management? The Lyric Theatre, Northern Ireland’s cultural heartbeat, is looking for a talented Stage Manager to join our team! You will take day-to-day responsibilities for the performing companies and contract stage management teams on the shows to which they are assigned.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum of 2 years’ professional experience of deputising in theatre stage management teams;

• Substantial experience of running books in a professional rep environment

• Knowledge and practical experience of the implementation of current health and safety legislation

• Excellent IT and administrative skills (including experience of computer software including Word, Excel & Office)

• Strong organisational and logistical skills

• Fitness and stamina to fulfil the requirements of the post including the ability to work at height

• Ability to read, understand & interpret set & prop plans and drawings;

• Good communication skills

• Competent skills in props making and sourcing

• Competent note taking skills

Desirable Criteria

• First aid and health and safety qualification

• 3rd level Degree in Theatre, Stage Management or equivalent relevant subject

• Experience of touring both medium scale & small scale and internationally

• Experience of CAD programmes

• Competent in score reading and calling shows from score.

• Holds a valid driving licence
