Tugann cruthú agus taithí na hamharclainne agus na n-ealaíon inár dteanga dhúchais brí, féiniúlacht agus muintearas don lucht féachana agus d’ealaíontóirí araon.
Tá maoiniú de €5.78 milliún faighte ag An Taibhdhearc, Amharclann Náisiúnta na Gaeilge, do 2024-2027, an pacáiste maoinithe is suntasaí le beagnach 100 bliain den amharclann.
Tugann an mhaoiniú seo ón An Roinn Forbartha Tuaithe agus Pobail agus Gaeltachta deis shuntasach chun dúshraith láidir a chinntiú don amharclannaíocht trí Ghaeilge de bhrí Amharclann Náisiúnta na Gaeilge ag bláthú. Tá earcú foirne láidir cumasach lárnach san iarracht seo.
Tá Stiúrthóir Feidhmiúcháin á lorg ag an mBord anois. Oibreoidh an t-iarrthóir rathúil i gcomhpháirtíocht leis an Stiúrthóir Ealaíne chun fís straitéiseach An Taibhdhearc a chur i bhfeidhm sna blianta atá le teacht.
Bunaithe i nGaillimh, cuireann an ról seo deis uathúil ar fáil taithí agus fís a thabhairt d’institiúid stairiúil chultúrtha atá ag dul trí thréimhse athchóirithe, i dteannta le cruthú agus cur i láthair na hamharclannaíochta Gaeilge ag an leibhéal is airde a chumasú.

Unique employment opportunities at the national Irish language theatre, An Taibhdhearc
Major funding boost for the national Irish language theatre stimulates employment and opportunities for Irish language arts and culture
The creation and experience of theatre and the arts in our native language gives meaning, a sense of identity and belonging to both audiences and artists. An Taibhdhearc is the national Irish language theatre. The theatre has secured €5.78 million in funding for 2024-2027, the most significant funding package in the near 100 year history of the theatre, providing a significant opportunity to ensure a strong foundation for Irish
language theatre through a revitalised National Irish Language Theatre. The recruitment of a strong and talented team is central to this endeavour.
The Board is now seeking an Executive Director. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Artistic Director to deliver the An Taibhdhearc strategic vision over the coming years.
Based in Galway, this role presents a unique opportunity to bring experience and vision to a historic cultural institution going through a period of reinvention and enable the creation and presentation of Irish language theatre at the highest level.
