Led by leading grant writer Barbara Rovere and focussing on EU funding opportunities for the arts and culture sector.
Irish Aerial Creation Centre and the project “Island Connect” are pleased to present a grant-writing workshop with leading grant writer Barbara Rovere. The training will focus on EU funding opportunities for the arts and culture sector.
The workshop will take place in the Irish Aerial Creation Centre on Friday 12th September 2025 from 10am to 4pm. It’s open to anyone who is interested, e.g. organisations, arts workers, artists.
“Island Connect” is a medium scale European Cooperation project funded by the Creative Europe programme and co-funded by the Arts Council of Ireland and Limerick City & County Council.
The training will include:
- presentation of EU funding opportunities
- Creative Europe programme, Culture strand
- European cooperation grants
- Circulation of European Literary translation grants
- European Networks of Cultural and Creative organisations grants
- Culture Moves Europe  – Individual Mobility grants
- Other programmes of potential interest
- Citizenship, Equality, Rights and Values program
- Project ideation – How to elaborate a fundable project idea?
- Learning the strategies for successful grant writing
- Basics of project design
- Principles for effective grant writing
Additionally, the participants can book individual consultation with Barbara, where she will
review their project ideas and suggest adequate calls for proposals,
critique their ideas or project deigns,
review previous grant applications, where the participants tried to secure grant funding, but did not succeed.
The workshop is free to attend and open to all, but requires registration below. There will be lunch and tea/coffee etc provided throughout the day.
The workshop is presented in partnership with the Irish Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle Network (ISACS) and there are 3 micro-bursaries available for ISACS members to travel to the workshop.
