LIFE EXPECTANCY: An Irish couple, stuck in the US in the midst of a fascist takeover, suddenly learns they are pregnant. She, a screenwriter, must navigate the demands of two producers catering to the new regime whilst her husband tries to resist the charms of a new office employee.

Written by Catherine Butterfield, Directed by Ron West.

Reviews from the US production:

“An exciting and unnerving roller coaster ride… a tearfully funny story with one of the most absurd, gut-busting baby birth crescendos… delightfully real and sweetly satisfying.” Gia on the Move

“The perfect combination: Butterfield’s acerbic wit and director West’s Second City comic timing….. It’s a hoot! ” Malibu Times

“We’re incredibly excited to be bringing this show, which had a very successful run at the Malibu Playhouse in California, to Dublin,” says director West. “Rebooting the production has allowed us to adapt it for our current very strange times politically, as well as bring a new level of fun to the show.”

The play features Derbáil Kinsella, Dave McGowan, Sorcha MaGuire, Declan Ryan, Gráinne Curistan, Tom Moore, Gráinne Gallagher, Aaron Mahon and Rajvi Shah and will play at the Teachers’ Club, a historic social, cultural, and event venue housed in a restored Georgian building on Parnell Square. It has a large pub on the third floor for after-show refreshments.

Premieres this Thursday Sept.11 in Dublin!
