The Phelim Donlon Playwright’s Bursary & Residency is now open—supporting a playwright to develop a new, original work.

- Two-week fully resourced residency at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre, Annaghmakerrig

Now in its 11th year, the award honours Phelim Donlon, long-standing independent theatre producer and Drama Officer at the Arts Council (1983–2001). His legacy and commitment to championing new writing and emerging voices continues through this bursary.
This opportunity is open to established playwrights (with at least one professionally produced full-length play) who are based on the island of Ireland or are Irish writers living abroad.
