We are looking for a new Finance Trustee to join our board and work alongside the current trustees and staff on delivering our new strategy People Practice Progress (2026-2031).

Established in 1983, Create is the national development agency for collaborative arts in Ireland.

We are interested in candidates who are passionate about engaging people in the arts, both nationally and internationally, and ensuring collaborative arts practice can play a key role in cultural life across the island of Ireland.

As we embark on this new strategic journey and begin to plan for the future of the organisation, Create is looking for an exceptional individual with knowledge and experience of financial management to join our Board of Directors as Finance Trustee

Candidates should have:

  • Expertise in financial management, accounting, public funding, governance or compliance
  • Familiarity with governance practice and the responsibilities of a board member
  • A commitment to the vision, mission and values of Create and to the principles of collaborative arts

Board members serve a 3-year term, renewable to a maximum of 2 terms (6 years total). Create is a registered charity and this is a voluntary, unpaid position.

We ask candidates to submit an expression of interest including:

  • A brief CV or biography, including details of any service as a board member, charity trustee or other volunteering
  • Maximum of 300 words on your interest, explaining why you want to be on the board and what you feel you can bring to the organisation
