Mermaid Arts Centre currently seeks artist/facilitators to devise and deliver workshops as part of its 2026/27 programme.
Workshops are an important part of Mermaid’s year-round programme, offering audiences an opportunity to explore new ways of communicating, making, and understanding through the arts. They provide a unique space through which audiences of all ages can experiment, try their hand at something new, or engage with and explore a particular artform on a deeper level.
As part of our developing creative learning programme, we invite experienced arts practitioners and workshop facilitators working across all disciplines including music, dance, poetry, writing, literature, craft, visual arts, theatre, circus, traditional arts, and storytelling to submit a workshop proposal for our 2026/27 programme.

Open call for workshops closes:Â 19th December 2025
Selected proposals contacted: Mid-January 2026 for April – December 2026 programme.

Submissions for consideration must be made online only.
Submissions are assessed based on their alignment with Mermaid’s strategic priorities, available resources, and their fit within our broader programming plans for the 2026/27 period.
Unsuccessful submissions will be retained on file for consideration should future opportunities arise.
