About DEAR ARTIST
The idea of “Dear Artist” has emerged from the need for a transnational platform to exchange advice, experiences, practices, and tips on navigating careers in the European performing arts industry.
The project aims to create a digital archive of letters and messages in which artists share insights about their work, career perspectives, creative habits, and lessons they learned in the industry.
In collaboration with Axis Ballymun, DEAR ARTIST is hosting three letter-writing sessions in November and December 2025, open to all artists interested in contributing to the “Dear Artist” archive and on-site networking group meetings.
The sessions will be held at the Axis Ballymun space in Dublin on the following dates:

Materials like pens and paper will be provided.
Each letter will be then digitised and presented on the project’s website, which will be published no later than February 2026.
