Performing Arts Forum has been in conversations with the Department of Social Protection about the types of support they offer to businesses and organisations. We were delighted to share this upcoming presentation on 7th October at 11am, which gave members the chance to hear directly about the range of services available and how they may be of benefit to the performing arts sector.
Please note that some, but not all, supports outlined are available to freelancers.
This online presentation provided an overview of the supports available to employers, which include:
- Wage subsidies when hiring people with disabilities and jobseekers
- Job-matching using the Department’s jobseeker database
- Work Placement Experience Programme
- Work and Access grants to support people with disabilities in the workplace
- Recruitment events that put employers in direct contact with jobseekers through in-person events and webinars
The presentation was be followed by a Q&A session that is not included in the recording
